Sigma Technology welcomes Lars Altergård as Senior Advisor to lead its new ERP Advisory offering. With 20+ years of experience, Lars will support companies in digitally transforming their warehouse and supply chain operations responding to growing demand for efficiency, automation, and strategic guidance across the Scandinavian market.

Across the Nordics, the logistics and warehouse sector are rapidly evolving. E-commerce growth, sustainability pressures, and rising customer expectations push companies to modernize their inventory and fulfillment processes. According to recent market insights, the European warehouse automation sector is growing at a CAGR of 15.1%, signaling a strong shift toward digital supply chain infrastructure and investment in scalable, technology-driven solutions.

We see a clear acceleration in how companies approach warehouse and logistics operations, and here’s the bottom line, you can’t achieve supply chain excellence with disconnected systems” says Karin Andreasson, President at Sigma Technology ERP Advisory. “If your warehouse, ERP and e-commerce platforms aren’t fully aligned, you’re not just missing efficiency, you’re losing speed, visibility and control. Lars brings vast experience in warehouse operations and we’re able to connect it all, from warehouse to web, so our clients’ operations run as one, with clarity and confidence.

The newly introduced ERP offering by Sigma Technology is designed to help companies optimize and future-proof their supply chain operations by implementing or upgrading Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Transport Management Systems (TMS), and other core digital platforms. As an independent, vendor-neutral advisor, Sigma Technology ERP Advisory supports clients throughout the entire transformation journey, from needs assessment and technology selection to implementation and training.

I’m thrilled to join Sigma Technology and contribute to this new chapter,” says Lars Altergård, Senior Consultant at Sigma Technology ERP Advisory. “The complexity of modern supply chains demands more than just good systems—it requires a strategic, business-aligned approach. My goal is to help organizations bridge the gap between their operational needs and the right digital tools, ensuring they get real value out of their investments. I look forward to working with clients to define clear strategies, guide implementations, and drive impactful results across the supply chain.

With this new business area, Sigma Technology continues its mission to empower companies with digital expertise, practical guidance, and technology solutions tailored to the realities of the Scandinavian market.

Sigma Technology Insight Solutions and AXEL Christiernsson, a global leader in the lubricants industry, announce the start of their strategic partnership. Sigma Technology’s expert team in AI development will support AXEL Christiernsson in optimizing production planning for grease production. Together, the companies aim to minimize production failures, reduce the number of cleanings, and improve the efficiency of the entire production process.

Contamination in AXEL Christiernsson’s grease production process can cause hiccups like batch issues, extra cleaning time, and resource waste. These challenges make workflows less smooth and add to costs, while also making it harder to meet AXEL’s sustainability and compliance goals.

Sigma Technology Insight Solutions proposed an AI contamination solution to tackle these challenges. By replacing the current manual process with a dynamic, scalable system, the solution simplifies contamination sequence management and enhances cross-plant usability. Algorithms and real-time data analysis will enable AXEL to proactively identify contamination risks, optimize cleaning processes, and reduce manual intervention. The project aims to improve production efficiency, reduce downtime, and lower costs, all while minimizing the environmental footprint.

With Sigma’s expertise in digital solutions and AXEL’s operational knowledge, the collaboration will deliver a user-friendly, scalable solution seamlessly integrated into AXEL’s operations for long-term success.

“As a manufacturer of formulated greases, we aim to reduce environmental impact continually. In this context, we refer to all-important environmental aspects such energy consumption, transport of finished goods and raw materials, and the products themselves. Optimizing the production flow will help us organize orders in a way that minimizes the need for industrial cleanings, thus saving resources and reducing environmental impact while also increasing our productivity. We are looking forward to cooperating with Sigma Technology team,”says Fredrik Jonasson, Group IT Manager at AXEL Christiernsson.

“By using advanced technology to optimize production planning, we can lower costs and create a more sustainable and efficient operation. AXEL Christiernsson is a market leader in the grease and lubricant industry, developing high-performance and sustainable technologies. We are proud to start our partnership, where we will help them drive innovation in the industry,” says Robert Åberg, President at Sigma Technology Insight Solutions.

Sigma Technology supports Tiki, a digital learning tool designed to help children with learning difficulties through structured modules, films, and worksheets. Covering Swedish curricula from grades 1–9, Tiki helps simplify complex content for diverse learners with accessible tasks that combine text, sound, and images. Sigma ensures its performance and development by providing expert operations, support, and technical advancement.

In Sweden’s drive toward equal education for all, tools that support children with learning challenges are essential. Tiki is one such tool: a digital platform offering pedagogical modules, short films, and worksheets developed for students with learning difficulties. With a strong focus on clarity, every exercise in Tiki is paired with clear instructions, spoken text, and visual support – helping more students stay engaged and succeed.

Tiki covers the Swedish national curriculum for grades 1–9 in natural sciences, social studies, Swedish, English, and mathematics. It supports educators in making learning accessible, engaging, and inclusive.

The development of Tiki is a collaboration between Sigma Technology Informatics Solutions and Anders Lidén, the founder and visionary behind Tiki Läromedel. With over 45 years of experience in education and more than two decades focused on special education, Anders brings deep pedagogical insight and creativity to the project. As the ideator behind the platform and a pioneer in inclusive edtech solutions, his expertise continues to shape Tiki into a tool that not only meets curriculum needs but also inspires and motivates students through thoughtful design.

Sigma Technology Informatics Solutions is responsible for operating, supporting, and continuing the development of the Tiki platform. The company plays a key role in maintaining and evolving the solution to ensure it stays modern, stable, and aligned with classroom needs.

Erik Hult, expert at Sigma Technology Informatics Solutions, comments: “Tiki is more than a learning platform – it’s a lifeline for students who need a different approach to succeed. With digital tools like this, we’re helping bridge the gap and bring equity to Swedish classrooms.

From the very beginning, our goal with Tiki was to create something respectful. Respectful to students who need to learn step by step, and respectful to teachers who follow the curriculum and guide students toward their goals. In Sweden, special needs education has its own curriculum, yet many materials are just simplified versions of standard content—often presented in a childish way. With Tiki, we took a different path. We built the content from the ground up, presenting it in a matter-of-fact, age-neutral way. Thanks to the digital platform developed and supported by Sigma Technology, we believe we’ve succeeded, and the feedback from the market confirms it,” says Anders Lidén, Founder, Tiki Läromedel i Sverige AB

As Sweden continues to lead in digital education, platforms like Tiki are vital in reaching students often left behind by traditional learning formats. With the support of Sigma Technology, Tiki continues to grow as an inclusive, scalable, and effective solution for 21st-century education.

Sigma Technology is proud to announce partnership with Daya Ventures, the world’s first femtech venture studio. Daya Ventures is on a mission to close the $1 trillion+ gender health gap by building high-growth, high-impact startups. Their vision aligns perfectly with Sigma Technology’s commitment to fostering an equal and respectful workplace by supporting initiatives that promote education, equality, and inclusiveness.

Despite women making up half of the world’s population, they spend 25% more of their lives in debilitating health than men (according to McKinsey’s Women’s Health Gap Report, 2024). This disparity is due to a lack of clinical studies and insufficient investment in women’s health.

Daya is the world’s first femtech venture studio that creates the next generation of fast-growing startups to reduce the $1 trillion+ health gap between genders. By collaborating with researchers, clinicians, and industry leaders, Daya identifies and validates real needs and builds startups from the ground up.

“We are impressed by the tremendous work the Daya team has achieved in such a short time, growing into an international femtech venture studio. At Sigma, we firmly believe that entrepreneurship is the catalyst for innovation and development. By joining forces with Daya, we hope to make an impact on women’s health,” shares Nataly Lamkén, Chief Communications Officer at Sigma Technology Group.

“We are thrilled to have Sigma Technology backing Daya’s mission of closing the gender health gap, reinforcing our belief that it’s the tech industry accelerating the femtech movement and pushing boundaries on what’s possible in women’s health innovation by redefining technology together and making it more inclusive and responsible,” shares Jenny Lundkvist, Chief People Officer at Daya Ventures.

Together with sister companies within Sigma Group, Sigma Technology drives Femmegineering, organization’s global initiative dedicated to building a community of female tech professionals and contributing to a more equitable and inclusive tech industry. This partnership with Daya is a natural step in organization’s commitment to a more equal tech industry.

With a strong background in instructional design and corporate learning strategies, Margarita will lead a revitalized portfolio aimed at delivering innovative, technology-driven training solutions for businesses.

Under Margarita’s leadership, Sigma Technology Information will enhance its learning and development offerings, incorporating modern learning approaches and solutions such as AI-based training, VR simulations, e-learning, and immersive training. By integrating the latest advancements in AI, VR, and interactive learning portals, the company aims to create impactful and future-ready learning experiences. These solutions will help businesses upskill their workforce, increase engagement, and enable lifelong learning.

Margarita emphasizes the importance of investing in modern learning solutions now more than ever:

The way we process information is changing. Business needs are evolving. Technologies are advancing at an exponential pace. To keep up, organizations must rethink their approach to processes, leadership, and workforce development. To stay competitive, companies in Sweden and beyond must embrace innovative learning strategies. And I don’t just mean AI.

Learning is no longer an 8-hour workshop with 50 people in one room. It is immersive, not disruptive—it becomes a natural part of daily life. Alongside new technologies, we must also understand human psychology and adult learning principles. Only then can we successfully leverage AI, simulations, and immersive learning techniques.

By listening to our clients and understanding their business, we empower them to build agile, future-ready teams equipped to tackle tomorrow’s challenges. A combination of new technology and a modern learning approach makes upskilling faster and more engaging for employees, directly enhancing both their performance and well-being.

Johan Thornadtsson, President at Sigma Technology Information, comments: “Margarita brings extensive expertise in corporate learning and a strong vision for the future. Her innovative approach and dedication to leveraging technology in training solutions will be invaluable for our clients. We are confident that under her leadership, our Learning & Development services will empower businesses to build more skilled and adaptable teams.”

Sigma Technology Information delivers training solutions for global customers across various industries, including organizations in telecommunications, the automotive sector, and more. One of the latest collaborations is Sigma Technology’s training solutions for Toyota Material Handling. Together with the customer, Sigma Technology has developed e-learning programs with microlearning video content to support modern sales methods and engaging social learning experiences—presented as an interactive advent calendar to promote internal knowledge sharing.
